Word on the street (via my housemate) is that the IGA up the road's about to close for three weeks and reopen as a Bi-Lo. A month isn't really enough to fully embrace a supermarket, but I was beginning to try and make the most of what was there - aisles so wide you could swing a (proverbial) cat in them, and the occasional completely random bargains - rather than what wasn't - vegetables that one might actually want to buy, for instance (the sight of so many distressed capsicums nearly made me cry).
The ground's still changing under my feet, it seems.
